Model 1930 Model A Truck Help...was I a Sedan?

I recently bought a 1930 model a truck and need help! Someone told me that because my spare tire is mounted on the drivers side fender verses the passenger side fender that at one time my truck was a sedan and converted over. Every picture I've found of a Model A truck has the spare tire on the passenger side. What are tell tell signs that a truck started it's life as a sedan?
Thanks,
Chris
