Model A vacuum windshield wiper
I have a 1930 Tudor in process of restoration. When the wiper motor is attached to the outside windshield frame, is it metal-to-metal contact or are there supposed to be rubber grommets between the frame and the mounting ears? The ends of the mounting ears on the motor are curved to match the frame but the ears are also hollow as if something should be assembled to fit inside the ears. I dunno . . . I can't find any references in any publications. Any insight appreciated.
