New gal & her '31 Tudor

Hi! I'm glad I found this forum. My older brother convinced me to use my paper-route money and buy a 1931 Tudor (in pieces, from South Dakota) in 1988, when I was 14 years old. Well, life got busy for both of us and took us both to far off places (in the early 90s he drove his '29 pickup from Ohio to California and he and his wife used it there for 3 years as their only vehicle). Last summer, after 23 years of waiting, I finally got to drive my Tudor. It was restored very simply and is a far cry from a show vehicle because my brother wanted me to be able to have fun with it without worrying about ruining it and now that I have 5 kids (and 8 1/2 year old, 7 year old twins and 3 1/2 year old twins) I am thankful for un-original vinyl upholstery, simple paint job, the already existing nicks and dings, etc!! One of my 3-year-olds calls it the "Model Mae", and thus her nickname was born! I drive her nearly daily, and right now she is my only vehicle because my minivan needs a new timing belt.

My husband doesn't really care about the it, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can about maintaining it from my brother. Soon, we'll be leaving Ohio and relocating to the Dearborn/Detroit area and I hope to drive "Mae" up there rather than trailering her. (Yep, Henry, she's comin' home!!)

I really wanted to post a picture, but no matter how I resize the image and change the resolution, I can't get it to accept the attachment. I was able to download the image as my avatar, however. Any ideas about what's going wrong with the attachment??

I look forward to spending time on this forum!

If you upload the photos to photobucket, you can enter the direct link url using the Insert Image option above. I'd love to see some of the photo's.
