Starter Problem with Model A ? - Ford Forums

Hi, first post for me. I have a 31 Vickie with a new engine. The battery is fully charged but when I try to start her I barely get a groan. No turning over at all, just one very brief groan, then nothing. Should I be replacing the starter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The engine turns over by hand? Battery is good? Check al the connections and try a 6 volt jumpstart. Maybe the starter is hung up. Turn the engine backwords about ¼ of a turn, then try it.
