confused 1973 torino toploader b/up switch prob

Hi folks, have a RUG BG2 EA011226 Toploader gearbox mounted up to my 66 mustang fastback and are having problems with the back up light switch coming on in all gears. I have removed switch in the side of the gearbox,bench tested it along with the wiring and all is good ! the switch part nos. are as follows D2AR-7E449-BA any help locating another or fixing my prob would be great, thanks

Altheouh the switch is working, it may not be working properly. No more than the switch probably costs, I would replace it to be sure.

cannot find a supplier ,any leads ? i need a break down of this gearbox,inside of the switch hole there is a piston that comes down from the top and contacts with the switch is this correct ?

mark at Toploader heaven now tells me its an anti backfire switch ? does this ring a bell to anyone ?
