Hello everybody.
I have a 76 torino. When I got it it was pretty much stripped bare. I have had some trouble finding some of the parts I need. So i could use some help! The first and most important thing i need is an instrument panel. I would like to go digital, but if i could get regular gauges that would be fine. Also there is a ton of play in the steering, so I was wondering what would be the best way to go about fixing that? Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated so thank you in advance!!!!!

The play in the steering can be a number of things, If you can get someone to turn the steering wheel back and forth slowly while you look at the shaft above the steering box. The coupling often neds replacing. Also, underneath the car for the linkage ends, pitman arm, tie rod ends and drag/center link ends. The steering box may be wornor just need a small adjustment too.

What engine and trans are in it now?

It has the 351 Windsor, but i'm not sure what trans is in it.

Here's a good place to check the bolt patterns. As far as which to use, I've only repaired cars to stock. I'm not sure of any mods to suggest. I do know that the C6 was a very good trans and pretty bullet proof. List of Ford bellhousing patterns - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
