Not sure where I should ask this but I have a 70 Cyclone Spoiler, I am doing some engine bay restoration, It has the 429 Cobrajet, what was the correct color of engine blue? I went to the auto part store and noticed 2 different ones, one was darker and said old ford blue the other was lighter?

Also what is the correct black for firewall and wheel well in engine bay? Flat black, low gloss :??

I had a detail shop that I thought was capable detail my motor and they Royally made a mess, worse than a salsa dog from 7-11, the paint fish eyed and the blue was a powder blue...................plus they buffed my car when I told them not to and chipped my paint.

It's very difficult to get correct colours. The can of Ford Tractor Blue (supposedly the factory colour for 351 Cleveland engines) that the bloke at Autobarn (i shoulda known!) swore black and blue to me was correct... isn't. Painted both rocker covers today, and it looks NOTHING like Ford blue.
