How much to pay for a FR78 S

I am wanting to now how much I would expect to have pay for an original FR78 S x 14 Steel belt radial, still on the original rim, all in original as new condition. The wheel has never been on a car and has all original stamps and paint marks as if it has come out of the factory yesterday. Ideal for a concours class car.

If anybody can help out with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: How much to pay for a FR78 S

Hmmm, hard to say as I've never seen one for sale
Have a look at the price of original GT rims and tyres and half that, then half it again and I reckon you'd be in the ballpark. Also depends on how badly someone wants it I guess.

How did you come across it? Is it the spare from your LTD?

Yes. It's in the boot of my car as the original spare. It even has some of the original wax like coating on it. The rim has the inspection paint spots and part numbers etc. You say about the value would be about 1/4 of GT original tyre which is about what Paull had mentioned as well. I beleive this tyre is also used on a lot of collectable american mid 70's cars as well.

Looking at selling but more interested in the value for curiosity.
