All the knobs on the dash have been stripped, and I want to fix them. Aircon knob, heater knob, wiper knob. They still look OK, but they're way too loose to do any good.
I don't want to just glue them on, because then I can't get them off again. I was thinking of screwing them on somehow, clamping them or something.

Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention that it's on a ZC Fairlane (I figured that the user name gave it away...but it's better to be safe than sorry!)

Get some new ones.


Have a look at a few other fords that the repo market caters for, eg XW GT, or Mustangs, and see what matches yours. I doubt ford made them specific to the ZC Fairlane. Should be able to get new ones which fit better than clamping the originals...

try rare spares or there is a place up here in brissy that is verry good. mustang auto spares.
