Re: ltd/fairlane legasy

That looks very cool, very El Camino. Are you going the whole P6 interior? If you getting serious you would want to match up the wheel arches. I'd be welding P6 arches into the rear so you can run witht the P6 trims to finish it off.

Re: ltd/fairlane legasy

Paul, thanks for all your trouble mate!!
I've got a set of ZH rear quarters to cut the arches from,
a wagon rear bar, Landau mirrors and polished GS petrol cap. (thanks Chris!!)
Picking up a nice set of sill moulds and will try to restore my set of arch moulds.
Interior is GXL dash, (got two but both 6k-rpm) and trying to get my
hands on black leather P6 electric seats from a bloke in Nth Victoria.
Running gear will come from the parts car, 351-FMX-Lsd XD Fairmont wagon.
The project is still miles away from completion but went into the garage
yesterday to begin the strip down.
Any suggestions on colour?
Thanks again Guys, Will.

Re: ltd/fairlane legasy

Colour????? Really, it depends very much on what suits youAlso, what would suit the car. When I restored my XC GS ute, I went for a favourite colour that was also a factory GS/Marquis/LTD colour (Regency Blue).

Another way of looking at it is, what suits you, the ute and the LTD look. It really is open to either one of the new colours or one from the old school. Personally I like the Regency Blue, Classic Grey & Vintage Burgandy (P6 Town Car colours).

Sorry, can't really think of anything esle.
