Which models had these?
I recently bought two badges (ebay) thinking they would fit at the bottom
of the guards, but they are way too small, 3 inch long!
Just wondering if Ford did make a larger version either for the guard
or boot?
If anyone has some (large), I'd be very interested in buying.
Thanks, Will.
Towncar badges were specific to the P6 Towncar 78-79. About 400 Towncars were produced, 200 in charcoal and 200 in burgundy. 1 goes on each front guard towards the top rear, at about door handle height between the wheel arch and front rear edge (roughly). The other goes on the left hand side of the boot lid.
They only came in the one size about 3" or so. Yes I've changed my avatar as I have sold my LTD to Paull so he can restore back to original. I've recently picked up an XB Coupe.
The '75 P5 LTD's were also released as a limited edition Town Car. And yes, all had the same badge (ex Lincoln) and were the same size. If you no longer want the badges, I would be happy to give you lots of money for them. I currently have three P6 Town Cars (one is still in the pipe line) but two of the cars are missing one badge each.
Cheers
Paul
