i bought the car in 1995. Initially it was my everyday traveller, through the years little bits and peices were done to it. New paint, engine rebuild, and rims. extractors a oversized cam etc. it ran pretty well and i was reasonably happy with it. But for the car to truely be the way i want it i had to get it off the road and do something special.
here are the progression pictures......interiors getting done and im looking for a panel/beater spray painter who will make this baby shine! ill be building a tough 351 for the beast and he'll cook up a storm...i am aiming for the toughest ZH around.....lets see how he goes...
at the moment the diff centrs gone away to come back with new 3:5:5 in it.....stay tuned for more progression pics!

Well, here are some pics of mine (and GreenMachine's):
Mine's the blue ZH with the vinyl roof removed. Apparently this colour is special "US-only" paint, which is to say that it's not an original colour in Australia.
Your ZH looks as though it's ready for some tinkering. Mine will, over the next couple of years, sprout a warmed-over 351 with dual exhausts (thanks, Nick!), a few other mechanical tweaks to go with that, new interior and deep metallic purple paint.
Anyway, take the vinyl off for the tough look. I'm sure it's very tricky and may even go wrong, but it looks great when it's been done.
looking at ur pix there im even more confused about the colour !!! :) nice one actually nice two. ur green machine is a beauty, and the blue ones really tough..... well done
Love the two gear lever look, you maybe could set a new trend.
I see also that the sports dash fits OK - looks good
Did you have any trouble with putting the sports dash in, wiring etc.?
well it was origionally a coloum shift auto and i transferred to the t bar..reason being the parts were getting a little hard to find in regard to the coloum shift...so i went the way that if anything happend in the future with it, id be better equipped for getting parts! u see i plan on keeping this baby for many many years!
gxl dash was not too hard at all. most of the wiring was cool it fits straight in no probs. i wanted something different a more sporty zh. u see the other fairlanes are more classic looking, but the zh is the fairlane of muscle cars.
If you need a great interior I have one in a ZH I am thinking of wrecking... I was wanting to get two on the road but now might need the gearbox in the first one... which means lots of spares. It is a tan interior though, but if you have any need for it give me a yell.
