Does anyone have photos of the ultra-rare "Starlift" option offered for the 1962 Sunliner? It was a detachable fiberglass top shaped similar to that of the steel-topped Starliners. The Starlift top was allowed in just one NASCAR race before officials banned it. Do any Starlift tops survive today?

I was at the race in Atlanta that the car won. I have a picture I took in the Holman-Moody office in Charlotte of a picture of the #28 in the pits at Atlanta for that race. I have won lots of bets with that photo...Nobody believes a Sunliner with a Starliner top won the race....Since it was banned after the race, I was not aware Ford ever made any for the public. Also, they had issues with it not fitting right and used duct tape to fill in space at rear side window...

It was only done on a pre-production 62, never made production.
