i have [my wife] a red on red ,white top 67 galaxie 500 xl convt. with a 390 auto .engine is old ,cracked manifold ,leaking oil ,no working choke . and parts are hard to come by , have to special order just about everything.and in the middle of bc. canada parts from the states are nuts in price[shipping].want to swap engine/trans for a newer 302/351w and disc brakes. what would be the best doner car to use. have done chevy swaps in the past but no fords. the car is in nice shape and looking to make [a restomod ] .it will never be a 10 out of 10 car and we are not trying to do that ,just a nice driver . thanks

Any swap meets in your area? Coastal swapmeet in Abbotsford is this weekend May 25th and 26th. You can usually find stuff like that. I know its a long way to travel from PG. Also try the Galaxie Club of Canada the Canadian site. I can also give you the presidents email, he's pretty good at sending circulars out to the guys. There is stuff out there, its just trying to find it.
Any T-bird or Mercury 390's will do same job, doesn't have to be motor from same year.
