After fixing the floor pans and a few other things we are now putting the new carpet in and putting the shift linkage and console in. It has been so long that I forgot things.

The shift mount goes on the bare transmission hump and the black metal tabs on the consolt go over the carpet.... Darling daughter claims that and to be honest I buy how the shifter mounts but not sure on the console, but don't see another way of doing it? Help!
