Hi ive got a 62 galaxie 500 with the 352 fe and looking to upgrade to something with more grunt, and was wondering if the 428 fe uses the same mounts???

I would say yes as the 390/ 428 are the same and I am pretty sure the 352 is the same also being a FE motor, I could be wrong.

Hello you will need to use a 428 that was made before 1965. the pre 65's used a two bolt engine mount andafter 65 three were used. the mounts are not interchangeable. Also they used different flywheels.
