any tips on removing my lower control arms?coil springs make me nervous this what i do when the control arm bolts are loosened.

I dismantled two 63 Ford front ends before I rebuilt the front end on the 63 1/2 Galaxie I have now. I followed instructions in my shop manual and with a few tools and a floor jack I encountered no problems.Your 68 has a different designed suspension. If you are mechanically inclined and want to do it yourself, best advice I can give you is to get yourself a shop manual. They pretty well give a step by step instruction on how to dismantle and remove the springs. Other way is to get hold of an older mechanic who has worked on front ends of the old cars to help you out. Try ebay or go on to google for automotive book outlets.
