Is anyone familiar with the silver strip that appeared on the inside of the 1961 Ford Galaxie? I am unsure if it appeared on other years, but I am curious to know if this is simply paint or if there is some sort of silver adhesive that is used.

The silver strips on my door panels could use some touching up as it has started to flake off in areas and the plastic underneath is showing. Can anyone recommend a paint or adhesive that works for this interior silver?

Here is a photo of the area I am talking about, although this is NOT on my car and does not need touch up it shows the horizontal silver strip on the door panel that I am talking about. For some odd reason I can't get this forum to upload a photo properly. So check out this one from EBAY.
