Hi, Is there any significance to the gold engine color on a 65 Galaxie? I thought most Ford engines where blue. Thanks

they had all kinds of weird color combos before 66, think pretty much 2 shades of blue and black since then...
the gold i found was the wrong shade too...dont think anyone makes the ford gold

Before 66 engines were painted according to displacement. For example, a 1964 390 4V V8 was painted all black except the valve covers and air cleaner, which were gold, similar to Castilian Gold. 1966 to the late 70's all engines were painted Ford Dark Blue.
