Book 'em Danno

Hello All,

Just immigrated to the US from Australia and the first thing I did after getting my green card was to track down and purchase a 1970 4-door Galaxie 500 sedan (complete with 36 years of receipts and the original dealer window sticker, brochure, warranties and information booklets!). That's the background, now, here's the dumb question. Does anyone know how to remove the cover of the interior roof light to replace the bulbs? Is it pried off, or is there a secret catch that i haven't yet found? It seems to be attached to the headliner/roof pretty well and I don't want to force it off the wrong way (which I've done with plenty of car related parts in the past, will i ever learn?)

Danno, I ran across your question about courtesy lamp replacement in your '70. I have a '67 and they might be similar in this respect. I have to access the lamps in the C pillars by way of the trunk. You have to reach up between the headliner side panel and the outer sheet metal. It pays if you have small hands. Hope this helps. Steve
