429 kid

I have a 1968 Galaxie XL fast back I built a 429 and a c6 for it and now i'm wanting a 4speed. I was told that someone makes a AOD that will fit my 429 but I can't find it, so I'm looking at the E4OD i've found a shift kit for it but need help, does anyone know how to use an electronic trans in an early model car? I need all the help I can get. Is there a stand alone computer or controller I can use? Also having a hard time finding an aftermarket shifter for it.

This company makes stand-alone trans. controller kits for electronic trans. conversions. Site was loading very slow when I just checked it, try it later.

doublecheck me for sure, but I *think* the 89 (and maybe a couple years prior) aod was NOT electronic controlled...Ive got a 89 mark VII and was thinking about having its tranny beefed up/adapter plate for my 429 that is headed into my 69 mustang someday...its been sitting in the garage since 1984, so im a bit of a procrastinator :)
