Just put a new cam/gears/lifters/rods in a 63 Galaxie 352. When timing the engine I pulled the distributor out and the oil pump drive shaft fell to the oil pan.
Would REALLY like to avoid pulling the pan or the front timing cover again.
. Any reason I can't just purchase another pump drive shaft and leave the current in the pan?
Once I have the drive shaft, is it even possible to reinstall it from the top of the dis
tor opening in the intake manifold?
