I just purchased a 1966 Galaxie 500 in Mexico with the VIN number AF66FU28022 and find find any information about this number. I believe the "66" means a hard top, the first "F" mat be Dearborn and the "28022" is the production number. What does the rest of the codes stand for?

My 65 shop manual has codes from dataplate in drivers door if you want to post them- I dont know if VIN tells anything other than serial number...

Some of this is a little hard to read...Hope it is a help!!! All of these Pic's were taken from a Genuine Ford 1966 Galaxie and Mercury Workshop Manual !!!
