and what type of offest/backspace should i get to be able to lower the car a little b/c it sits up pretty high right now.

IMHO the 'torq-thrust-D' is the best looking wheel out there for a bit of a performance look, and are period correct for these cars. If youre going heavy custom, with wheel tubs/radical lowering, then the big 18+ inchers look really cool, but to me on a mild street car, torq-thrust-D always seem to look right.
