XR6 VCT UTE

I just got back from taree did 750ks since fill up yesterday 75ltrs. still reads 50 odd ks to empty.Au2 XR6 VCT ute
Gota be happy with that.For a bit when I first got it it was lucky to get 400ks highway,I put new straght flow mufflers on it last week it seem s to have produced the goods.

best i ever got out of my AUII XR6 was just over 800km which even included a trip though adelaide

I had a similar experience, about 770 km's out of an AUII XR6 ute,Melbourne to Corowa and then back down to Violet town cutting across the back road to Bendigo and then back down to Melbourne,some spirited driving between Violet town and Bendigo! Had the pleasure of blasting past 3 Hyundais on a slow sight seeing crawl who high beamed me for overtaking them! Very pleased with the fuel consumption of the ute,wish I got the manual trans though,

i got well over 900km to a tank in my old AUII XLS ute.. manual, running normal fuel and no mods at all.

i had to go to Bendigo for work on thurs/fri sat on about 120km pretty much the whole way, avg fuel was 10L/100km!! after a few laps of bendigo on wed and thurs night and driving back to werribee, i got 750ks on 3/4 of a tank.

i thought that is awesome!

AVG was 10l/100km.

yet at times cruising around Bendigo i got 12-13-14L/100km.

coming home along the calder hwy, i got as low as 8.5L/100lm
and then again overtaking trucks getting up to 150+ it was reading 40L +


i found better fuel economy at 120km in fifth rather than 80 in fifth.

i'm driving the xr8 ute up to Canberra friday week so should be interesting to see how many km's i get out of the tank

in the BA XR8 i get just short of 1000km from my tank...

but i have installed a long range tank 120lts

me too,i nearly ran out the door to my local ford dealer to order one of those 5.4's ah what the hell i'll get two.10.8ls, 520kw, 500ks to the tank,sounds economical to me!!
