Well I ordered my dealer's January allocated ute.
Whether it arrives on time is another matter. And seeing as my dealer can't get the damn sido number or a delivery date, I'm not holding much hope of it meeting it's January delivery :hrm:

Gee, harsh words. There is a set date for monthly orders and a corresponding set date for the allocated SIDO numbers. My FPV is due for January build and I do not have a SIDO as yet. That certainly doesn't mean your car won't be built in Jan. However, please respect the fact that everyone that works at Ford deserves their holidays like everyone else. Factory shutdown is until January 13 when everyone will be back at work making the cars we long for. That means if your car goes through FPV for any reason you should expect a delivery late in the month or early Feb.

Whilst I also am keen to get my car, I know the wait is going to be worth it!

Minge , Is that right that FPV will not close for XmAs.

So lets say my turbo has finished build and is now at FPV for 18 " wheels. It ,s a good chance the dealer will receive the car prior to the end of December????

And I'd really want one that has had the nuts flogged off it by every pimply journo in the land. Secondly it is an FEV and we know what happened to the FEV in the COTY test.

went into my dealer today to see if he had a sido for me and he said he doesn't expect me to be allocated for another few weeks, either end of december or early january!

he also said i'll either have my ute by late january or early february! takes 3 days to build the car, but ages and ages to get to the dealers!

one interesting thing he said was the standard xr6 has a wait on it until march!
