On the western ring road this morning I passed a Falcon Ute and
didn't look twice. It was only once I saw it in my mirrors that I got startled. It was wearing one of those camouflage car-bras that you see on spy shots. We both got off at the Hume Hwy exit, and it was sitting right next to me at the lights - so I got a really good look. It was obviously going to the Broadmedows fatory or Tickford. It didn't have any badges at all.
I am not sure whether I should describe what it looked like on here, because I don't want to blow anything for Ford.
Can the forum moderator advise me as to whether I can go ahead and describe it.

Just go ahead and bloody tell us. All this secrecey is giving me the shits (and no I didn't attend the FF Raid and swear to keep all things Ford sceret blah blah blah)
If it's out there on public road with a Ford sanctioned disguise already (car bra) then surely anything you can tell us is in the public domain already.
our view has ALWAYS been that anything seen outside of Ford itself is open for discussion, as when ford drives these vehicles in public, they risk being seen and discussed.

OK.
I have received advice, and I will not discuss the front of the car, and certain other aspects. The ute I saw had no badges at all, had a twin exhaust same as AUII - hence V8. The rear and side panels of the ute were same as AUIII, it was wearing AUIII XR8 17"s with the tiny middle bit missing - obviously original wheels were removed. The suspension ride seemed the ame as AUIII.
Side inicator lenses were white and a new rectangular shape. The front of the car was completely revised, and possibly the front guards aswell (car bra covered this).
We can all rest assured since the AUIII ute looks really good - definitely better than commodore. The possible exeption is the front on the non XR models. This has changed leaving the rest of the sucessful ute in place.
Sorry I can't reveal more, but I am sure we will all agree that we should all do what is best for Ford Australia, in regards to this critical launch of AV.

Why am I the bad guy ?
You are not the bad guy. We have this problem any time the AV info issue comes up because some people do not agree with our policy. The policy on AV info we have has been put in place for the reasons previously discussed in other threads. Once again if people wish to discuss it, please send Laminge, FM or myself a PM.
