Just a hint for those of you with the new rear bar without the reversing light (I assume that's the issue but if I had an XR or FPV ute I'd check regardless). Having found out the hard way it seems the hole in the sheetmetal bar reinforcement might not be there so when you try and insert the bar to winch down your spare wheel guess what? It's not gonna go in there.

The easy way to tell if try and stick the winch bar in there - if it only goes about an inch or two in you're cactus.

Best to plan a visit to the dealer to have the hole drilled before you're stuck in the middle of no where!

pete due to the different shape of the pursuit rear bars the standard hole for the tyre winch had to be elongated upwards even from factory, due to the bar coming ******ds rather than flat like the xr ones they had to stick the hole in the bar higher up (if that makes sense)

im guessing yours must have just been missed having this done

1.5 because it sure as hell ain't the same as the BA 2003 model I had before. It's amazing to spot the differences in what should be the same car.

Good advice even if it doesn't apply to mine. In any case getting the winder bar in there does not guarantee that the winch is gonna work, right AP?

Anyway, why so quiet recently? And why are you bringing up this point as it clearly doesn't relate to your Pursuit in the form I've known it?
