Are the BA utes de-tuned ??

I was wondering if Ford has sent a message in our utes to lower the output (redard our timing 20 degrees for a few seconds) under high load .... as we lack the TC .

the holden guys had this done to the LS1's ....390Nm for utes 450Nm for sedans (or something like that) but the specs were marketed identical.

anyway ppl ... your thoughts please

Easy fix. Get a 3.45 diff and download the GT software.

Having said that, I'm useless for you right now because I ahven't answered the question.

Hey Aussie pete
have you done the exhaust on your pursuit yet
i saw a post you had on herrods site a while back....
I am searching around the gold coast for someone to do an exhaust
for my pursuit, which i feel needs a little more low/mid range.

Falconhell, try the reps in QLD that Herrods ship their products to. The lower power you mentioned in your pursuit at low-mid RPM is much better with the full headers and 3" system. Try the performance chip too, it's unseen when installed and adds around 25-30rwkw's along with the zorst

Falconhell,

Give Sunshine Ford a ring and ask for Gary Davis he is in charge of Special Vehicles and regularly in touch with Rob Herrod. Also he said he has got on to someone up in Brisbane who has made a cat back 2 3/4" stainless system.

Can somebody tell me about the Herrod chip. Is it just a plug in chip or is it a download on to the computer. I want one for my XR8 but I need one I can remove when I trade it in on a newer one.
