Hey all,
I posted this in the audio thread, but dunno if im gonna get any response.
Basically i just wana know if i can replace the rear speakers easily in the ute without too much fuss ?
and also what are the ones from factory..what size?

I'd like to know this too, i do think the rears are 5x7's.

Guys the rears are 5x7 from factory. 6x9 fit easy and it is easy to get to them. You just need to pull the trim off from around the B pillar and they are behind there.

yeah there 5x7's and rockford fosgate make some good speakers for that size. rockford also has made some 6x9's with mounting brackets for 5x7 holes. should only cost u about 30bucks to get some speakers installed in the back at least thats how much i paid.

What 6 x 9 speakers does everyone recommend?
I was looking on the strathfield website,there are :
Kenwood 6x9 300W 3 way $149
Sony 6x9 4 way 400w $158
Pioneer 330W 3 way $169
Pioneer 6x9 350watt 4 way $229
Pioneer 6x9 5 way 400 watt $269..

What would be the decent set of speakers to go for the ute?

dont go for something which requiers to much power, go for an efficient speaker, just fitted mb quart to front of my xr6t ute 6x8 in size and kenwood dual mag 6x9 in rear sounds pretty good off standard deck.

I was just looking at replacing the rear ones, i dont wanna mess around with the door trims..
got any more info on the ken 6x9's?

I havent got to taking the rear trim off yet, but can any1 tell me if i can bolt the 6x9's straight in, or do i have to do something else to make them fit ?
