Does anybody know what the BA XR8 ute weight is? Motor Mag says it is 1750kg. I thought the utes are more than the sadans. SO what is it??

According to redbook, the kerb weight of the manual sedan is 1740kg and the ute is 1577kg, with the auto sedan another 20kgs heavier, but auto ute same weight.

Turbo is 1755kg, standard XR6 1690kg

Thanks also is there any times for the XR8 I would expect 6.8 0-100 and 14.8 0-400m. Have a look at the Motor mag times at the perisuit ute 14.4 0 -400 m and thats 290kw.

I think the XR8 did a best of 6.1 0-100 and 14.2 0-400m. The Pursuit was slower because it had taller diff and leaf sprung rear axel.

BLACK XR6-VCT

I reckon the XR8 Ute is great value at around $40K, considering that the sedan is around $50K. How often does anyone use the rear seats anyway (no backseat romping comments please).

I hope to pick up one of these in manual, in 2-3 (2006) years time hopefully for around $27K at which time I should be able to sell my 99 XR6 VCT for around $17K ($10K changeover) ...

FANBLOODYTASTIC. AWSOME MACHINE. I PREVIOUSLY HAVE OWNED AN XE 351 4SPD UTE, EBGT, ED XR8 AUTO, ED XR8 SUPERCHARGED 5 SPD, XH XR8 UTE AUTO, AND AN AUII XR8 UTE AUTO.

AND THE BA KICKS THEY'RE ARSE. (ONLY JUST KICKS THE ED'S. THAT WAS A FAST CAR).
