Good time to bring this up again in the middle of the sh@tkicking going on

XR6T/XR8 Sedans: $5045 difference auto or manual.

XR6T/XR8 Utes: $1250 difference auto or manual.

Can somebody with a real knowledge of the market pressures at work tell me which is being underpriced, XR6T Sedan or XR8 Ute?

This is with the knowledge that our mates at Ford would never overprice a vehicle.

Watch the market, I'll take a gamble - my prediction is:

Utes both 6's and 8's will have a price rise, but of equal proportion. xr6 and turbo sedan will rise bringing it closer to the eight, which will stay the same price for the time being.

as for underpricing as stated above, I think you will find it's fords way of opening a new market for stable but safe results.

If the XR6T sedan does go up as you suggest we are gonna have heaps of waitlisted people plenty p%ssed off as suddenly their stretched budgets snap

Bad enough that the utes are slated to go up by about $600.

the XR8 ute is the best price and value.

where did you hear that utes are going up $600 Seems like bad marketing just as holden bring out a 1 tonner and just as we near the end of the financial year

falcon utes always have better resale than the sedans.

Price rises have kicked in already as noted in another post.

Utes didn't go up at all, neither did XT's or XR8's. Fairmonts, Futuras and XR6/XR6T's went up across the board by 1% or so.

Utes: even better value.

Depends on what your needs are really. Both the XR6T sedan & the XR8 ute are an absolute bargain.
