i have been toying with same idea myself.
i have seen the ute bodies sitting out the back of a couple of ford workshops , i guess they must have taken them off to fit flat trays.
should be able to get a trailer maker to build a chassis with axle so that the ford body will just bolt straight on.
i think that the biggest differance between models is the slight differance in the rear bumper ( changes to the reversing light ) and the place ment of the badges.
the later AU-XRs have bigger wheel tubs to prevent the tyers rubbing on the inner guards.( makes slightly less tray floor area).
