....wrench/socket to undo the tyre nuts?

Mine didn't, or at least I can't find it. It certainly wasn't in that pounch where they store the jack.

ANy ideas anyone?

It's a weird looking thing, it is a gold coloured, base ball bat shape with fold out socket end... it is in the bag, the bag of many hiding places... down in one of the inside pockets... unless you just plain missed out on getting one.

Good luck finding / receiving it...

Last Thursday I was looking through the wheel change kit and discovered I am missing a wheel brace as well. The only way I noticed was I use to have it with in arms reach in my old XR8 but noticed it was not sticking out the end of the kit in this one. When I take it in for the new diff I will ask for one though!!

Good one Jase,........ the diffs got a annoying whine in it at about 95-100kph. When it is warm you can also hear it at 60kph. I was going to leave it to the 10,000k service but it is driving me mad. Been waiting for 3 weeks now for it to come up from Adelaide.

That's a pain, I know what you mean, annoying noises at that speed.

I thought I had a diff problem, high pitched noise at speed, checked the passenger seat, girlfiend not there, bugger must be the diff..

...but a full on car balance and full thrust alignment made a ENORMOUS different to my ute, shut it up completely.

Those big square type tyres are a bitch to get right, but well worth the effort (half a day farting around)... My dealer delivered my ute with 50 front left and 25 front right and 45 in the rears... you gotta laugh....

I still haven't fitted them bars yet, can't do without the car at this time of year, but got it tinted, I found the cabin so fugging hot.

Full theif killing alarm, locking nuts (3 complete wheel thefts in my area in my area including that GT in Elsternwick) and fitted that petrol cap you guys found.... hopefully bars early Jan..

How much arguing did you have about getting a new diff???

As Jason_M9 said, it is the gold metal bar. You have to flip the damn thing open. Would not have guessed it in a million years, no diagrams, no instructions no nothing.

I think rod c has found the best use for this brace...

It also swallows locking nut keys and won't spit them out...

None at all Jase, the Ford tech came for a run with me and picked it up straight away. Remarkable really, usually when I take something in with a noise, it mysteriously dissapears.

Thanks fullthrottle, found mine to. Useless looking thing will bend at the pivot points I bet trying to undo wheels nuts done up by a over excited rattle gun. I still keep my old faithfull "cross" shaped wheel brace in the ute though.
