Had to swap my XR6 ute with the boss as his SS doesn't have ladder bars.
Must say I can get used to the power. It's been a while since I have had some grunt under my foot.
All in all, I prefer the XR to drive. I feel more comfortable driving it. The ride in the SS is a lot firmer and it has a bit of rear wheel steering in it. The brakes are better in the SS.
I'm happy to have the XR6. Better stereo, more room, better tray, great handling and seats that have grippier material. The six gives good economy and adequate power but I cannot wait when the lease is up and I get a 5.4 XR8 ute.
Yeah everytime i hear these stories i keep telling myself that i have to take one of these GenIII's for a spin just to see what it's all about. No doubt i know it hammers.

One of our mates just took delivery of his.
Blue VX SS, soon as he got it he got big twinny exhaust and the numberplate "QUIET 1"
Goes pretty hard, but my mates Laser beat it pretty convincly

S'ok - I've seen XR8's get blown away by lethargic snails ...

I upset a bloke in a white SS ute this morning. He got beside me at a set of lights at a T intersection (He must of thought that I was going to hold him up). Just after you get around the corner two lanes merge into one. I beat him at the green and got around the corner quicker, he had no choice but to get in behind me. I don't think he was a happy camper afterwards as I was driving my '89 KE Laser at the time! When the road went back in to double lanes he took off at a hundred mile an hour like he had something to prove!

Yes, I have but 225kW is 225kW. I'm sure a 220kw XR8 ute would be definitely better than the SS.
When my friend receives his 250kW Pursuit I will be definitely driving it. Can't wait.
