Hey All,

I'm new here, but thought I would put up a post asking anyone and everyone for some advice... I'm thinking of trading in my XG ute and buying a AU ute in the very near future, thought someone out there might be able to offer me some advice, the good points or even the bad ones... I'm looking for one on gas, considering the price on fuel and hopefully manual, but the rest I have no idea! So if anyone could offer me some helpful advice would be great (or know of an AU for sale in South Australia, or anyone wanting to buy an XG!!)

hey shannon,
im a mechanic and i own an AU ute on gas,
it costs me about 50$ a week to run and i get around 450-500 kms from it,
which is great,
the performance side of things is the downfall,
it goes about as good as a 4 cyl.
factory dedicated LPG AU's dont come out manual also.
my old boys got a BF Ute on gas. Auto, and it goes like a dream.
but back to the au.
i have had no major problems with mine, in 6 years and 250k's. only problems is the door lock actuators dont work and had to repalce the radiator.
they are a good with little problems, just lacking performance.
my personal preference would be to buy a BF ute on Gas.
