Fords $300,000 Ute in Motor Show - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I was reading the Melbourne Herald Sun on tuesday and their was a article and a picture of a Ford Falcon. Its a $300,000 Ute with Twin Turbo and had hyrdolic doors which opens up like the old lamborgini (sorry for the spelling).. I will be going to the Melbourne Motor Show but it will be nice if some others took pictures and we could all see this amazing beast!

I was at the pre-opening and I talked to the guy at the GULL WING UTE stand...it cost $300k to develop and will be around $85k to purchase...Gull wing, twin turbo...maloo killer. If you don't believe me you can ask him yourself tomorrow if you're in Melbourne :)

Regarding the doors, they havn't really finished the UTE yet, there's still no 'latch' on the doors. Think the group is considering some sort of external remote but I don't know what he was going on about, I was dumbfounded by the awesomeness of the gull-wing ute.

think the gull wing doos look great but how would they go in a carpark???
would you be able to open them with cars parked next to you??

Who cares - they look great. Gullwing doors have always looked great since that Merc coupe of the 60's

That ute looks awesome!!!! Hmm I heard that those doors arent the best design for a rollover or something. Who cares I'd buy one if I had the money!!!!.

That Focus though... looks like its out the Farce and the Ficticious� :err:

how often do you roll an $85000 ute anyway. Besides, if we all bought cars based on their safety features, we'd all be driving around in 1990's Volvos.

As for the issue of gullwing doors in car parks, i think that they would actually be better than normal cars, because they open more up than out.
