LOVE IT!!! Pitty i can't afford one. Ahh well, maybe later.
By the way, the first "Pursuit" ute was an AU XR6 limited edition, with some extra options chucked in (sports bar, body kit and pursuit badging). Fairly rare i believe, but not as desirable as the Pursuit 250.
no, it was actualy the xr8 pursuit. it was a $1000 option on the xr8 ute which included the sports bar, side skirts, front winglets,15 extra kw. it was released at the melb motor show 2001 but dealers were taking orders in nov 2000. i had to wait nearly 4 months for mine. then they made all xr8 utes with 200 kw. the 2001 xr8 pursuit was limited to 300 utes.

They look absolutely fantastic - and criekey those figures of the Boss and the way it sounds....
BUT. Its so worrying to see 290 kws and 520 Nm through the rear leafies... seems like such a scary thing to do.
I really hope Ford work on the rear suspension for the XR8 and Pursuit and well as finding a way to put traction control in them. Otherwise id be sold in about 12 months time!!!
OH and does anybody know if the Blood Orange is/will be available on the XR8? thats such a wicked colour. King of the load!
I think it looks OK, but then I am now attached to mine. I am slightly pissed off that XR8 has gone 260kw straight up, 10 kw over the Pursuit 250. I am not allowed to buy another one for a few years, so I guess Ford don't care about me until then. I don't mind the new model being better, but it is annoying when the standard vehicle surpasses the premium within 9 months.
I would like to see FPV do something to acknowledge the limited status of the 250's, maybe a numbered plaque that could be installed at next service for $50 or so? I know the Clubbies all have a number, that is prominently displayed. Otherwise the fact that only 250 were produced will become an obscure fact in Ford history books. I thought air this in public before approaching FPV, let me know if you think it is a good idea, especially the other 250 owners.
I did get a framed picture of it, which was much appreciated, but then we did have to wait a long time. Without something like this I cannot see the limited edition holding much value against XR8's. Here I was betting on 2003 T series ute TU54??? At least the FPV Pursuit will further establish the Pursuit as a performance model and in people's minds.

Twice the Tram Action(tm) and a possible meeting with an emissary of Australia Post!
