With all the talk around of the FPV XRT that's coming out, i was wondering if they will be releasing a ute version.
Awhile ago we had a poll on here about which ute you would buy and a fair percentage went for V8's if i remember correctly.(couldn't find the poll).
I guess the people most likely to but one would be the people who have or are planning to buy Pursuit ute's, but would be interesting to here from people as to wether this vehicle if it was released would appeal to many of you people's?

wouldnt rule out this option..they have the pursuit290 for the ute version of the GT, and a ute version of a turbo 6 could compliment the sedan too

Real men drive V8 utes. I reckon the FPV HAD-T ute would be good for the girlies and the Oxford Street crowd. I see no conflict there at all! LOL

if Pursuit's are as good as they say ... then what's the problem ?

obviously you "guys" haven't driven a XRT ute with 270+rwkw ..... it is a cut-cat compared to the V8s ...

Why? It's a ute. Not a sports car. It's for carrying things like extra booze and BBQ's.
Even the Pursuit is a complete waste of a decent engine although at least they didn't waste a decent driveline on it.

I'm clearly getting too old for this.....

Why put the engine in the sedan then? By your logic it's a waste. It's not a sports car, it's a sedan.

The only way to use these engines, without it being a waste, would be to put it in a sub 1000kg 2 seat, 4wd sports car . By your logic...??

What I'm trying to say is the utes are just as capable of being 'sports cars' as the sedans.

I'm very proud of my Turbo ute. I like to think it's one of the most unique sports cars in the world. No other country in the world has a large market for such a vehicle.

I think there'd be a market for an FPV turbo ute. I'd consider it.
