biggrin I finally bought myself an XH ute

I bought it second hand with 12 slotter mags, nudge bar, lightforce spotlights and only 82000 clicks. For a series1 1997 XH Gli ute I am stoked and it looks very nice. Hopefully I will have it for alot longer yet and not wrap it around something (Canberra roads in the wet are very slippery). Now for some advanced driving courses to keep me on the black stuff.
Just thought I'd let you fella's know and if anyone has any further advice or hints on this sort of ute I would be greatly intrested.

Ah yes, great car (see my avatar).
What did you pay for yours? And is it manual or auto?
I paid $11700 for mine about 3 months ago, 5spd, silver, and 115000k's.

Sing out if you need any assistance......

Rick.

I paid 15000 and it is a manual. It also came with a flexiglass canopy that has been removed at the moment. I'll probably end up selling the canopy.

Congrats and welcome to the fold.

Some hints;
lowering makes them handle HEAPS better (and can be done fairly cheaply), AU steering wheels fit and $50 for a AU XR one from SVO motorsport you cant go wrong, and loose the 12 slots.

I payed $9k for my '97 panel van almost 2 years ago, but it did have 159k kays and some rust (which was fixed under ford warranty after I got it). Its now at 190k kays and mechanically shows no signs of old age.

Welcome Xhute, the XH stands for Xtra Hard ride!
Just lowered mine and as AusXH said they handle a lot betterer.
If youre after a set of springs for the front Ive got my originals(XR SII) theyve only got 50 k on them so if youre interested PM me going cheap.
check out the market you always get some 16 inch mags going cheap.
Enjoy the ride

Your kidding I just traded my old XH2 'S' v8 auto,lowered,3" exhaust, 17x7 mags, all fact options,69K's in mint con(no scratches even...) and only got $14k
The handling was great for leaf's, my new BA ute is shit compared to it...why has ford put the BA XLS ute nose on the ground and the ass skyscraper high? Hit a bump going around a corner along the hyway and you'll see what I mean...
Hmmmmm Im fixing this prob next week he he he! I'll post some pic's when its done(got new wheels too, sparklin in the sun!)

Takin it to 7 turnin it to 11

For $14000
Damn I would have snatched that up as quick a lightning. Although insurance would kill me being a 19 year old. Doesn't matter though as I am completely happy with my purchase. Whenever you buy something you always find something better straight afterwards. It always happens.
