...of this damn BA Pursuit exhaust rattling and banging under my car. The poor dealer has spent way too much time trying to fix it so I've departed with some hard cold and ordered the Herrod 'Fix What Ford Got Wrong' accessory item.

After hearing the rave reviews, and seeing exhaust tips that actually look like they belong on the car, how did I have any choice.

Ford/FPV should pull their finger out on the exhaust tip issue. Enough people have complained and I know they wouldn't let this occur on the sedans. Not good enough. Not good enough at all.

Somehow I don't think you're only going to fix the tip issue. Does this "rattle" run all the way to the ports on the block? I predict that fixing the rattle will result in you finding another 20-30Kws.

Are you going for the cats back dual stainless system? It would be interesting to see if it goes back to a 3" single pipe over the diff but it will be good to look at the back without thinking shame to go to the trouble of extending the nice body kit to the back of the XR ute only to have the exhaust tips no where near the cut out!!

rod, i have the S/S duel cat back exhaust fitted to my ute.. and yes, it goes into a single 3" over the rear axle and then back into duel 2.5"

sounds very crisp with an awesome note..
wating on bank balance to get up again to get a few more mods done..

Not good pete...i'm sure the builder/supplier responsible for the ute exhausts doesnt have to be einstein to realise that the twin outlets should be fixed together flush, and hung up underneath so that it fits into the cutout! Not a very hard exercise IMO.

In regards to the herrods exhaust, you will be more than happy. Grouse note, and very noticeable power increase particularly low in revs and post-gear changing. Quality fittings too and the twin tips fit nice and snug in the cutout.

Cats back or full system? Go the full! Or at least the empty cats!

All good thing's come to those who wait, and you are about to get a good exhaust AP,it's just a shame Ford couldn't fix your delimear,thank god we have place's like Herrod's.
