Just About to cancel my BA UTE

Well Lads after having ordered my manual Turbo Ute Nearly two months ago I have just about had enough and after getting a good quote on a new SS ute I am about to switch to the dark side. I love fords always have but just not able to wait any longer. My dealer is not even able to give me an on line date or a SIDO. This coming from a man who works for one of FORDS biggest OE suppliers. Uncle Geoff I hope your listening as I doubt I will be the only one who cancels due to being unable to wait. When I first orederd my car I was told by the dealer it was scheduled for Nov build with Dec delivery. Now I,m told January build at the very latest. And all of this is still with the possibilty of a 2% price rise. If I am not protected from that then I will not even be able to afford the extra as my novated lease only just covers the cost of the car as per the current deal I have. Sorry to dribble on I am just so disheartened to see Turbo sedans being delivered but no UTE's on the horizon. FORD's on line help people are not much help either they just keep on saying ( Some time early next year) . Glad to get that off my chest. Hard to read all the journo write ups about the turbo ute yet can,t get my dream car. GP this is FORD faithfull ringing the bell here. Please heed the call.

a. You will lose your deposit
b. the XR6 turbo is .2 second faster than the SS v8
bii Wheels has every falcon as a higher star rating than holden in their latest comparisons.
c. You'll be "thunderstruck" at the bowser.
d. Its a pushrod !
e. xr6 turbo supply problems are just teething, Ford will work things out. There was originally a 6 mth waiting period for a stateman gen3 when they came out, and from memory there was a similair waiting period for the gen 3 in general (no pun intended)

It will all happen, most of the commodores on the road are fleet, as anyone who liked the vt, would by now probably have one. I imagine that ford cant keep up with the private and fleet demand at the moment.

There is a famous saying - "good things come to those who wait"

Ummmmm. For a start there is no supply issue with the XR6Turbo ute!!!! They were always going to go into production in January!!!! They were never going to get built any sooner. Ford has repeated said so about the turbo ute. Where you got this November build idea is beyond me. If a salesman pulled that out of his head, he needs to read his info a whole lot sooner and understand it a whole lot better. This frustrates me to no end to see people blame Ford when they have done nothing wrong!!!

a) You will loose your deposit.

a answer) No deposit paid as purchased under "B Plan " Fleet deal.

b) XR6 Turbo .2 quicker than SS.

b answer) How do you know that? It may be the case with the sedans but I,m talking about UTE's. XR6 Turbo Live axle leaf rear ss IRS.

b!!) Wheels has every falcon as a higher star rating than holden in their latest comparisons.

bii)Except the UTE which there has been no direct comparison of yet.

C You will be thunderstruck at the bowser.

answer C: Im on novated lease fuel consumption is of no concern to me.

d its a pushrod.

answer d) So is the B220 and if I wanted an XR8 ute ( Without the pushrods) I would be waiting till camiras become fashionable again.

answer e ) If I was wanting a Fairmont ghia or a statesman I could handle waiting, all I want is a simple UTE albeit a XR6T.

Your still paying for the fuel - just cause you have a lease card to use at the bowser doesn't make it free.

I think you better check your research on that one too there RR.
BA Falcons are pushrod free.
