Thumbs up Just finished my roadtrip across Australia.

I have just returned from my 7500km trip from Canberra (ACT) to Esperance (WA) and back. Here is a rough summary of my trip.

Day 1 - Canberra to Geelong
Day 2 - Visit Ford discover centre, Travel to Mt Gambier (SA) via Great Ocean Rd stopping at the 12 apostles at about 4pm.
Day 3 - Reach Ceduna (SA)
Day 4 - Arrive in Esperance (WA)

I spent a few days in Esperance with the relatives and then returned.

Day 1 - Esperance (WA) to Ceduna (SA) about 1500km this day
Day 2 - Ceduna (SA) to Gundagai (NSW) via Conargo Pub about 1850km
Day 3 - Gundagai to Canberra about 200km

My return trip took me 48 hours from Esp to Canberra

Some fuel economy figures
Canb - Esp via Geelong and Great Ocean Road
4016km 382.42L $358 10.5km/L
Esp - Canb via Conargo
3532km 349.2L $316 10.1km/L
Total
7548km 731.62L $674 10.3km/L

My ute never missed a beat and I am quite happy with the fuel consumption considering the strong head winds I experienced over the nullabor, spirited driving on the great ocean road and carting an extra 100L of fuel from Ceduna to Esperance and back again.

It was a great trip and the nullabor is not that boring. The most boring part is from Ceduna to Iron Knob.

Mate, you definately know how to get somewhere, the most I've done is Melb-Syd one day then Syd - Brisbane the next.

You must've really wanted to drive instead of flying.
