What extras did the XH longreach utes have over the Gli's? From what I can see it is only a larger fuel tank.

Mine is a Longreach and the fuel tank is the standard 68L.
I'm buggered if I know what differences the Longreach has, mine has a tacho, but I dunno if the GLi has that or not.

Im not too sure on this but i think its got something to do with the length of the tray on the cabin end????This is only what i've heard.

Didn't they have steel bash plates underneath, bigger off road tyres, bigger fuel tank and a hydratrak diff.

Hi Barefoot XR6,

All XG,XH and XH II utes are called Longreach. When the XG was launched this was the name given to the utes and pano's. XG/XH were available in GLi and S pak trims, with XG having XR6 and the XH XR6 and 8 models as well.

The XG and XH also had a model called the OUTBACK which had the big tyres, diff and crash plates underneath. Iam also pretty sure they had long range petrol tanks, which was just another tank bolted up beside the standard tank.

i belive that you have it in one, as for the dual tanks they work off the one gauge but i think there was a switch on the dash to swap from one to the other but the second tank was gravity filled for the main
