Has anyone here lowered their ute by taking a leaf out of the back end?

I'd like to use Herrods front springs, but I was thinking that if I was to have a leaf removed it might soften the ride a bit. I don't intend on having a lot of weight in the back, so it wont matter if payload is compromised.

Any advise appreciated

Juat get the rear leaves reset. any spring place or suspension place should be able to do it for you easy
