New reverse lights for utes

I've noticed at work that the ford have gone away with the one reverse light under the tailgate and put them with the rest of the light assembly. As a result the indicator lense colour is now Orange. I guess it looks better but I really dont like Orange indicator lenses. They just look old for some reason. I want to put EF clear rear lenses on my EL.

Re: New reverse lights for utes

The Red RTV in the demo movie Ford made shows the new tail lights, with the deletion of the single reverse light.
But the Ute on the CD cover still has the old style.

NO all the cars I am talking about are stock vehicles yet to be pre-delivered.

I just dont like the Orange indicator lenses. Other than that i think it looks better.

Gain new tail lamp assembly - lose tissue box and mid level air con vents.

Re: New reverse lights for utes

Does anyone have a picture of these new tailights on the utes?

Are they going with this design right the model range up to the PURSUIT?

Are you saying that the reverse lights will come on where the normal blinker does (or hazards)?

Re: New reverse lights for utes

There was an RTV tested in the Weekly Times yesterday which showed the new lights very clearly. The reverse light is at the bottom with an amber indicator above it. Those two sections are probably half as tall again as the old indicator section, and still have a red border around the edge. Much neater than the separate reverse light, and it would have to give a better spread of light as well.

Re: New reverse lights for utes

I wouldnt think changing them is a viable option. What would you do with the big hole in the bumper under the tailgate?
