Was just running through the comparator on the FPV website, comparing the Pursuit Ute with the Maloo and Maloo R8.

The Pursuit is just incredible value. $54k for a 290kw road runner, with all the good gear, and still leaving you $3k in your pocket as compared to the Maloo R8, plus more if you option up the Maloo R8 to FPV specs.

On another note, does anyone know what the weight of the Pursuit is going to be? I would imagine its going to be less than the sedans, so this looks like one serious angry peice of equipment to me.

Not sure of any exact figures, but the utes are actually heavyer than the sedans. I think it's due to the chassis at the back.

I have a Pursuit on order ( Blood orange ) Due March , I hope!!
Led to believe ute is around 60 kg heavier then GT sedan .Yes rear chassis!.. Another scarey one is NO traction control on the utes !..Gunna be fun in the wet?.. I agree about the value compared to the Maloos!.. ( not to mention the extra 30kws) This would have to be the quickest ute EVER built in Aust?

Hmmm, might be a job for the gas axe :-)
And yes, you would have to think its going to be a quick unit.

Wasn't the utes heavier than the old AU's?

But, the BA's are now heavier than the AU's.

So, the utes could be lighter.

Something to look into.

For example a 250 Pursuit is 1745kg
A TE50 is 1730kg
To get a fair idea ...Compare the BA XR8 sedan & BA XR8 ute!
Weight difference between GT & Pursuit should be pretty much the same as between the XR's!
