Hi all
just 2 let a few of u no,if u ring fpv and give them your rego number they will tell u what motor was built for the car, who built it and when it rolled out of factory,i cant c fpv trying 2 pull the wool over my eyes,if so they have somthing 2 hide,

So you are saying that you ute has a 220kw motor?

fpv have told me that my car was fitted with 220kw motor,but i guess the only way 2 find out 100% is 2 have car dyno,but i dont c why ford would say there is a 220kw motor in my car, if it was not put in, why would they have any reason 2 miss quote figures,when there is a new model out.then again has the new xr8 really got 260kw

If FPV state that your car was fitted with the 220kw motor, then they would have all the relevant parts to do so. Depend on how the car was run in, it's current state of tune and the octain rating of the fuel. Then you also have some dyno's that read lower than other dyno's...

With so many factors, how can someone have all the KW's that the badge on the car says it has....

Yeah, but they're thinking the sedan. The utes were short changed with the max being the 200 engine.

If I'm wrong there's a few lucky people out there with a rare beast.

Let's make this simple. Check your engine for signs of the following:

- 70mm throttle body shown by having the Tickford logo engraved into the main body

If it doesn't have that it's a 200.

I have seen AU3 XR8 utes advertised with 220 kw engines but it could be a mistake. Would'nt be the first time.

thanxs for the imfo..just checked has tickford ingraved in throtle body,,so i guess i'am 1 of the lucky ones,can anyone eles tell me if there au2 utes have the same.when i ordered car i had ever posible option put on ute body kit 250w sound system leather ect all momo gear

Well I'll be damned,I honestly didnt think they made 220kw ute's, but if you have had your ute since new and it does have the Tickford engraved throttle body it's a pretty good indication that it is a 220.
