how come if you purchase a ute that we only get one remote entry for locking and unlocking our ute and if you purchase a sedan you get two remote's, does any body know how much a second remote entry is?

Not sure about extra remote entry for standard system. Was told $110 for extra remote with the factory alarm. If the remote is no different from the standard (don't think it is), there's your answer.

Yeah, feel the same, I got a story, from my dealer (hello if you are reading it, where is my full tank of petrol) he said due to it being a commercial car, they only get 1 key, one lock.

That changed,... I am happy to report I have 2 now and did not pay $110 (dealer cost is $83)

Hmmm how much more do they want to jip us...?

But gez there nice to drive!

Don't know about the remote price but a spare key for a BA ute cost
me $175 yesterday from a large Sydney Ford dealer .

That price included coding of the key, which I now note can be done
by anyone following the instructions in the handbook

When i used to have my Rodeo ute i lost the spare key which was in my wallet in bali (some sporting young local lass decided she liked what was in my pocket and i was savouring the moment!) and went to a holden dealer after returning to get another one. They had a BLANK key (uncut) with the plastic bit on the end and Izusu logo on it, they wanted $45 for it, and said it couldnt be cut anywhere.

After politely refusing i went to the local mastercut bloke and got 3 spare keys cut for $12 bucks! And they worked perfectly!
Bloody dodgy pricks!
