Re: a squeakin n a rattlin!!

g`day
i have not had any issues with my BA ute but i have talked to other guys that had a squeak in the back.

it was the plastic ute liner moving and rubbing on the metal frame.

the liner had to be lifted out and some rubber put under it where it was rubbing.

Re: a squeakin n a rattlin!!

is it still under warranty ?

i think some of the guys around here had it fixed as a claim, it was the ford guys that told them what the problem was and i am pretty sure they said that it was done under warranty.

Re: a squeakin n a rattlin!!

yeh it's under warrenty, taken it back a few times. they always say, " yeh mate jst needed 'adjustment', they loosen up a little when they're new" as soon as i get round the corner, first bump, squeak again!
in my last ba ute they said it was the back springs, so they got replaced under warrenty, they said they found heaps of rust all in between them!! i dot even live near the sea! it never stopped(one of the reasons i got rid of it!

it seams to be a problem i can find anyone to fix!

Re: a squeakin n a rattlin!!

give `em a slap around the head and tell `em to take the tray liner out and have a look for signs of movement.
